Puch Cobra - Help Cylinder

hola!
i hope someone speaks english.
i have a 6 speed puch cobra 50 aircooled engine and cannot find any information or specifications. this forum is excellent but i dont read spanish.
i need a new cylinder/piston. i would like to go to 70 or 80cc
do any of the metrakit gilardoni airsal etc top end kits fit the cobra?
does the 74 or 80cc cobra cylinder fit the 50 cc engine? are the cranks the same stroke?

i have a metrakit fitted to my puch m50sport but it wont fit the cobra, the cobra studs are spaced 56mm apart. the m50sport studs are 45mm

the cobra wasnt sold in england so there are no spares or info. can you get second hand cylinders and re bore them or re plate them?
are there any cobra cylinders with cast iron bore? cheers

Hi Aljaxon, first of all, welcome.
As you can see, it´s dificult to comunicate and explain tecnical issues in english, but i will do my best.
In Spain, the auxiliary industry for puch cobra cylinder/engine does not exist, also in the past. All the cylinders are originally from puch.
There are cylinders of 70cc that fit on 337-50 engine (air cooled) and 80cc that fit in 337-80 cylinders (water cooled). The engines are the same always (stroke, connecting rod, etc).
If you want to go up from 50cc to 70cc, you can buy a second hand cylinder in Spain and re bore to the size of the piston (48,5mm). The bore in Spain is iron and the standard size is 48mm.
You can find pistons in the spanish ebay ("piston puch cobra" i think the cost it´s arround 50 euros).

thanks for your reply GMLeon. i have a cobra 49cc engine and i want to fit it into my puch m50 sport (m50 racing).
the m50 sport has a 73cc metrakit fitted but the stud spacing is different.
i will take some pictures tomorrow.
i dont mind buying a damaged cylinder and getting it re-sleeved or re-lined as i can do the porting myself.

gracias por su respuesta GMLeon. tengo una cobra 49cc el motor y quiero encajarlo en mi puch m50 el deporte (m50 compitiendo con).
el deporte de m50 tiene un 73cc metrakit empotrado pero el espaciado de tachón es diferente.
tomaré algunos cuadros mañana..

El problema es que no es facil localizar cilindros de cobra nuevos. o equipo motor tanto de agua como de aire.
Si tienes paciencia y sigues el foro puedes localizar usados para reparar.
Pero ya digo con paciencia,- No es facil.

Yes, you do. The bore of the cylinder is biger and the "neck " is a bit biger, maybe only 2 mm, and it mean that, you have to open the crankcases in the top, just where the cylinder connect with the crankcases.

Aljaxon pregunta, si tiene que mecanizar los carteres para acoplar un cilindro de 80cc en uno de 49cc, y le respondo que si, que el cuello del cilindro es un poco mas grande y hay que abrir un poco los carteres.

Yo pienso que es la misma carrera.

Estos motores estaban diseñados para 50cc. y en España se transfomavan y se subian a 75cc.

Pero abria que comprovar las medidas.

La carrera de los motores de cobra es de 39,7mm.
Si esto es asi pues nada compras el equipomotor de 400 Euros y las juntas y a montar.
